The “Progress Development Programme” is a curriculum which measures personal training and achievement of the Vaulter, independent of the level of other members of the team/club, and is an evaluation which is outside the competition stream. It has proven very useful in challenging Vaulters and keeping them interested in the sport in areas (or times) where no competitions are available, and for students who wish to progress without competing.
The programme is designed for individual Vaulters, so they can progress as individuals within a group, without having to be at the same level as everyone else in the lesson. This programme was developed by Sonja Koch and Uwe Schneider (illustrations by D. Jyoti Chatelain) in 1994, and has since then been used successfully in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and North West Territories. In February 2008, it was accepted as the national “Progress Development Programme” and copyright of this document was transferred to VaultCanada."
