The Alberta Equestrian Vaulting Association was created as a non-profit society in 2004 with three founding member clubs; fifteen years of growth later, there are seven vaulting clubs in Alberta, all of which are active and competitive. The Saskatchewan Equestrian Vaulting Association (SEVA) is a non-profit corporation, founded in 2010 by a small group of interested vaulters and parents from the Living Skies Vaulting Club. The SEVA is recognized by the Saskatchewan Horse Federation (SHF) as the Provincial Vaulting Organization for the province.
The EVA of BC is a registered not-for-profit society, with the mandate to support and grow the sport of equestrian vaulting (or “vaulting” for short) in British Columbia through education and actively supporting the development of coaches, clubs and vaulters. The EVA of BC operates under its Constitution and By-Laws .
This judging contract is for use by competition organizers and judges to standardize fees and processes within the country.

The Provincial Vaulting Trainer Program has been established since 1995 and is recognized by Horse Council BC, the Alberta Equestrian Federation, and the Saskatchewan Horse Federation.

In Canada, we have Provincial and National Judges. Provincial Judges can judge provincial events as well as Equestrian Canada divisions up to and including 3* Level (at National competitions). National Judges can judge Provincial events and all Equestrian Canada divisions.

SEVA membership is open to anyone interested in vaulting. Membership is mandatory for participation in SEVA events, such as clinics or competitions, as well as for events hosted by other provincial vaulting organizations.
This page contains information about, and downloads for, National, Provincial, and FEI rules plus the Guidelines for both barrel competitions and other unrecognized classes that may be offered in Canadian competitions. Also included are links to the FEI Guidelines and Code of Points.
This national program was approved on 2012-03-19 by the VaultCanada Sport Committee. Levels 1 through 5 are administered and managed provincially, while levels 6 through 8 are administered and managed nationally.
To meet the minimum annual updating requirements of this certification, trainers must submit proof of their attendance at approved courses/seminars/clinics. All instructional events organized by your provincial vaulting organization are automatically approved for upgrading, as are all such events organized by your provincial equestrian sport organization. All other educational events must be preapproved by the chair of your provincial vaulting organization's Education Committee.
The Equestrian Canada Rules for Vaulting in Canada state in Article L301 that: "The criteria for scoring is explained in detail in the FEI Guidelines for Vaulting Judges which is published annually on the FEI Vaulting Website." The notices posted here are supplemental to the FEI Guidelines for cases where the FEI Guidelines do not cover specifics needed in the context of the Canadian rules and/or competition systems.
It is widely known that helmets should not be used when vaulting, but less widely understood why. This page introduces the basics, while our Fall g-Force Calculator page goes into all the details, provides a tool to help assess the level of risk, and states the Risk Management Guidelines for Vaulting.
When you want to enter an event like a CVI or world championships, the requirements are quite different than what you would expect at regular Canadian vaulting competitions. You will be entering on behalf of your country so this involves both Equine Canada and the International Equestrian Federation.
Attention BC Coaches! Pacific Sport Fraser Valley is offering 9 NCCP in-person courses throughout the months of November and December. The courses will be spread between Burnaby, Langley, and Maple Ridge. Below are all of the courses on offer:
At this time, this program is only available in BC. The BC Ministry of Education has approved the application by the EVABC granting high school credits to vaulters who achieve significant milestones in their careers. The program provides opportunities for the following credits:
