IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS SHOW

It is the responsibility of the show/event committee, or organizers and the facility owners and managers to ensure that all BC Health Authority and WorkSafeBC directives are followed and enforced. Horse Council is not a regulatory body and it is understood and agreed that sanctioning and approval of either a HCBC Provincial circuit event or Equestrian Canada Bronze or Silver competition relates to the use of the rule book and approved officials only”

This Competition is a Horse Council BC provincially sanctioned Competition and will be governed in accordance with the Horse Council BC Rule Book. Knowledge of the Rules is the responsibility of the Competitor. The Horse Council BC Rule Book, will be used and can be found at the following link: http://www.hcbc.ca/Competition-Documents.html

Neither Horse Council BC, its Board of Directors, organizing committee, staff, volunteers, officials, or employees of this horse show, will be responsible in any way, for damage, injury, or loss to persons, horses or property of exhibitors, spectators, owners, riders, trainers, or grooms. All competitors and owners of horses must be members of Horse Council BC to participate

 

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS

This event will adhere to strict Covid-19 prevention policies. These will be based on the current requirements of the BC Health Authority. Participants must remain at least two meters away from any person who is not in their household or family “bubble.” We expect there will be an attendance limit of one or two adults per vaulter, but we will confirm this with coaches a week prior to the event.

 

OFFICIAL RULES

All mounted classes will follow the Horse Council BC Rules for Vaulting.

All Individual, Pairs and Team classes will complete one round with separate goes for compulsories and freestyle.

Barrel freestyle classes will be 1 minute for individual, 90 seconds for doubles, and 3 minutes for team. Barrel classes will be conducted according to the Equestrian Vaulting Association of BC Recommendations for Barrel Classes at Vaulting Events.

Please ensure that each vaulter is eligible for the selected class(es) by referring to the eligibility rules set forth in the BC Vaulting Rules and VaultCanada Competition Guidelines which may be found on the VaultCanada website. If you are unsure about the eligibility of a vaulter for a given class please contact the event organizers. **NEW ** Our insurance company now requires that ALL vaulters and lungers be members of Horse Council BC and the Equestrian Vaulting Association of BC. This also applies to vaulters entered in FUNdamentals, Walk D under 10 and barrel classes, all of whom were previously exempt from this requirement.

Cross Entering - We are able to offer cross entering between Walk, Trot and Canter classes at this show as time permits.

 

CLASSES AND FEES

Registration Fee: Vaulters $20.00 (No registration fee for lungers)

Individual Classes: $25 Each. One round of compulsories and freestyle

Video Summer Games Qualifier Class - Canter C

Hallowe'en Theme Walk Class Freestyle only: best combo of costume/music/choreography (open to all levels and ages) FEE: $15

Hallowe'en Theme Horse/Vaulter Class: horse and vaulter both in costume, open to all ages and any gait - freestyle only FEE: $15

FUNdamentals

Division D, C and B Walk and Trot Division D, C, B, A and AA Canter

Beginner canter (D canter compulsories, walk freestyle)

Masters Class $25. (adult vaulters – vaulter’s choice of Division B walk, trot or canter)

Green Horse: One go $10.00; Two goes $20.00

 

Pairs Classes: $15 per vaulter. One round of compulsories and freestyle.

Division B Walk and Trot, Division B, A and AA Canter

Beginner Canter Pairs (B canter compulsories and a walk freestyle).

 

Team Classes: $10 per vaulter

            Division B Walk and Trot, Division B, A, AA canter

            Beginner Canter Team (B canter compulsories and a walk freestyle)

 

Barrel Classes  

Rules according to the Equestrian Vaulting Association guidelines for barrel competition in BC. All barrel classes $10 per vaulter per class. Costumes must adhere to the safety rules ABSOLUTELY  No loose accessories, or props

COSTUME BARREL CLASSES:

Hallowe'en Theme class: based on best combination of costume, music and choreography

FUNdamentals, Individual beginner, intermediate and advanced freestyle  

Beginner, intermediate and advanced pairs freestyle

Beginner, intermediate and advanced team freestyle

Synchronized pairs freestyle

           

ADDITIONAL ENTRY INFORMATION

Entries & Waivers

Online Registration and entry form will be available at www.vaultcanada.org No paper entries will be accepted, all entries must be submitted online through the VaultCanada entry system. One payment per club MUST be received at entry deadline, by etransfer to Cassie Sponchia [email protected]. There will be NO refunds of competition entry fees without a doctor’s note for either withdrawal from the competition or cancellation of entry after the entry close date

Liability Waiver forms (and a Person Responsible form for each club) must be completed online on this website. If a correctly filled out and signed waiver has not been received the vaulter will be scratched. Liability waivers and Person Responsible forms will be available on this site after entries open and must be completed by October 27

 

Memberships & Licenses

Canadian vaulters and lungers must be members of their provincial sports organization and provincial vaulting association. Important Note – there are no longer exceptions for FUNdamentals or barrel entries. Our insurance company now requires that ALL participants be members of Horse Council BC and the Equestrian Vaulting Association of BC. Membership numbers must be submitted with your entries. Any vaulter who does not have the correct memberships by the Deadline will be scratched.

 

Music

Music must be submitted according to the EVA Standards for Submitted Music available elsewhere on this website. Although vocal music is permitted in all classes, this competition is a family-oriented event. All vaulters and coaches should ensure that music selections are appropriate for an all-ages audience. The music upload on this website will be available once entries close.
