Introduction

This HCBC Recognized and NCRC sanctioned competition is hosted by Koot-Neigh and offers Walk FUNdamentals through Canter D at Nelson's well-equiped riding club. It is a Heritage Games as well as BC Summer Games qualifier. Canter C, B, A & AA classes will receive useful comments from the judge (with no scores). All classes welcome - please contact to add a class not already listed. Stalls and shaded camping available with Non-Member User Fee. The inviting city of Nelson is a 15 minute drive... stay an extra day or 2 and sight-see!

Acceptance of Risk and Person Responsible Forms

Entries

Entry Deadline: Friday July 31, 2015

No paper entries will be accepted, all entries must be submitted online here.

Payments must be per club and MUST be received by the entry deadline by PayPal, or Interac E-Transfer.

Important Information about this Competition

All information about this show will be posted here on this website at VaultCanada.ca . This competition is a qualifying vaulting competition for both the 2016 BC Heritage Finals and the 2016 BC Summer Games. Official Rules & Class Info All mounted classes will follow the Horse Council BC Rules for Vaulting. Every class offered herein is covered by the rules and specifications of the current rules of Horse Council BC and will be held and judged in accordance with the Horse Council BC Rules Book. Exhibitors are responsible for knowledge of the rules under which they are competing.

All individual Walk, Trot, and Canter classes will be offered with one rounds, with separate goes for compulsories and freestyle in each round. A second round is optional for Canter classes and entered as such: considering horse use rules, we understand that not all vaulters will be able to do the second round. All Squads and Pairs classes will be offered with one round, with separate goes for compulsories and freestyle.

Barrel classes will be 1 minute for individual, 90 seconds for doubles, and 3 minutes for team. Koot-Neigh's barrel as well as a mini trampoline will be available. Barrel classes will be conducted according to the Equestrian Vaulting Association of BC Recommendations for Barrel Classes at Vaulting Events.

Please ensure that each vaulter is eligible for the selected class(es) by referring to the eligibility rules set forth in the Vaulting Rules.  

Cross Entering - We are happy to offer cross entering between Walk, Trot and Canter classes at this show as specified in the rules.

Memberships & Licenses

Canadian vaulters, lungers, coaches, horse owners, and grooms must be members of their provincial vaulting association and must have third party liability insurance provided through membership in their provincial sports organization.

American vaulters, lungers, coaches, horse owners, and grooms must be members of the American Vaulting Association and must have their own insurance.

Membership numbers must be submitted with your entries. Any vaulter who does not have the correct memberships by the Deadline will be scratched.

Pricing

All entry fees are in CDN$. Withdrawals or no-shows will be held liable to reimburse the organizing committee for the actual financial loss incurred as a result of the late withdrawal or no-show. Pricing to be posted shortly.

Horses, Stabling & Camping

The Person Responsible must affirm on the Person Responsible Form that all horses entered by that club have an equine influenza vaccination within 6 months of this competition. Proof of vaccination may be requested by the organizing committee at any time.

Any horse entered in any class at a competition may be selected for equine medication control testing while at the event location.

There are open and closed stalls and water, available for this event either/or Fri & Sat August 28/29th at the competition grounds (for a small fee for non NDRC club members). 

There are shaded camping spots available at the competition grounds (for a small fee for non NDRC members).

Music

Music must be submitted on this website via the competition entry system. The music management page will be available after the close of entries and until the entries lock date. Although vocal music is permitted in all classes, this competition is a family-oriented event. All vaulters and coaches should ensure that music selections are appropriate for an all-ages audience.

Jobs Available at the Competition

This competition requires each participating club to volunteer their share of jobs. We will have a volunteer co-ordinator contact your Club contact (from Person Responsible form) after close of entries but prior to the entries lock date to assist in the division of volunteer jobs.
