The competition will take place in the 82x225 indoor ring. There is also an 80x225 outdoor ring available for riding or lunging warm up only; but no vaulting because other riders from the stable are entitled to use it.

Acceptance of Risk and Person Responsible Forms

All those involved with the competition (in any way) must sign an Acceptance of Risk Form (release / waiver). These must be signed online; links will be posted here shortly.

If a correctly filled out and signed Acceptance of Risk Form has not been received by the "Entries Lock Date" that person will be scratched from all involvement.

Each Club with any entries in this competition must have one person, typically the head coach, sign a Person Responsible Form. These must be signed online; links will be posted here shortly.

Entries

Entry Deadline: Wednesday, May 18th, 2016
(all people, horses, and class entries must be in the system by this date.)

Entries Lock Date: Wednesday, June 15th, 2016
(horse and lunger assignments, and music management, may be changed until this date.)

No paper entries will be accepted, all entries must be submitted online on this website.

Payments must be per club and MUST be received by the entry deadline by Interac E-Transfer sent to [email protected] , with a security question of how many entries you have in Walk D, and the answer to that in the format of "5 vaulters". GST is included, and you will be issued a receipt.

Important Information about this Competition

All information about this show will be posted here on this website at VaultCanada.org .

  • This competition is a qualifying vaulting competition for the 2016 BC Heritage Finals.
  • This competition is NOT a qualifying vaulting competition for the BC Summer Games, as it is outside the qualification window.

Official Rules & Class Info

All mounted classes will follow the Equine Canada Rules for Vaulting. Every class offered herein is covered by the rules and specifications of the current rules of Equine Canada and will be held and judged in accordance with the Equine Canada Rules. Exhibitors are responsible for knowledge of the rules under which they are competing.

All Individual, Pairs, and Team classes will be offered with one round, and with separate goes for compulsories and freestyle.

VaultCanada Scores-Only classes for Individuals, Pairs, and Teams are available for Canter A & AA; these are not competitive classes and do not have placings or awards.

Barrel classes will be 1 minute for individual, 90 seconds for doubles, and 3 minutes for team. Only one barrel will be available. A mini trampoline will not be provided but boosts are allowed. Barrel classes will be conducted according to the Equestrian Vaulting Association of BC Recommendations for Barrel Classes at Vaulting Events.

Please ensure that each vaulter is eligible for the selected class(es) by referring to the VaultCanada Eligibility Criteria as referenced by the Equine Canada Vaulting Rules. If you are unsure about the eligibility of a vaulter for a given class please contact the event organizers.

Cross Entering - We are happy to offer cross entering between Walk, Trot and Canter classes at this show as specified in the rules.

Memberships & Licenses

Canadian vaulters, lungers, coaches, horse owners, and grooms must be members of their provincial vaulting association and must have third party liability insurance provided through membership in their provincial sports organization.

American vaulters, lungers, coaches, horse owners, and grooms must be members of the American Vaulting Association and must have their own insurance.

Membership numbers must be submitted with your entries. Any vaulter who does not have the correct memberships by the Deadline will be scratched.

Pricing

All entry fees are in CDN$. Withdrawals or no-shows will be held liable to reimburse the organizing committee for the actual financial loss incurred as a result of the late withdrawal or no-show.

The pricing for this event is as follows:

  • $15 per-vaulter Registration Fee
  • $25 per-vaulter for Individual Horse Classes
  • $15 per-vaulter for Pairs Classes
  • $10 per-vaulter for Team Classes
  • $10 per-vaulter for Barrel Classes
  • $20 per-horse for Green Horse Entries

Horses & Stabling

The Person Responsible must affirm on the Person Responsible Form that all horses entered by that club have an equine influenza vaccination within 6 months of this competition. Proof of vaccination may be requested by the organizing committee at any time.

Any horse entered in any class at a competition may be selected for equine medication control testing while at the event location.

We do not have any stabling and paddock options this year.

Onsite Food

The Vaulters from Freedom Acrobatics will be running a concession stand during this event. Other local food options are 5 to 10 minutes away.

Music

Music must be submitted on this website via the competition entry system. The music management page will be available after the close of entries and until the entries lock date. Although vocal music is permitted in all classes, this competition is a family-oriented event. All vaulters and coaches should ensure that music selections are appropriate for an all-ages audience.

Jobs at the Competition

This competition will not require club volunteer credits. If you are interested in helping out to gain experience, please contact the organizing committee as early as possible.
