Canada sends 8 Vaulters to Normandie for WEG

For the first time Canada sends 2 Pas de Deux and 1 Squad plus 2 Individuals. Vaulting runs September 2-5 2014. WEG 2014 takes place in Normandie France. Detailed info can be found at fei.org.

 

Canada Cup CVI & Future Champions will be held May 28-31, 2015

A combined event will take place May 28-31, 2015. This event will offer a CVI 1*,2*& 3* and The Future Champions Bronze level Show with Walk/Trot and Canter D,C & B. This event will be hosted in beautiful Chilliwack BC. The CVI will be Thursday May 28 to Saturday May 30. The Future Champions will start Friday May 29 to Sunday May 31, with Walk and Trot classes hosted on Sunday May 31.

 

 

Judges Certification

In Canada, we have Provincial and Equine Canada Judges. Provincial Judges can judge provincial events as well as Equine Canada divisions up to and including Canter B. Equine Canada Judges can judge Provincial events and all Equine Canada divisions.

 

Certification for Vaulting Stewards

Qualifications for Vaulting Stewards in Canada

Equine Canada stewards (minimum Recorded 2) who are interested in adding vaulting to their credentials may apply to VaultCanada for certification as a vaulting steward.

A prospective vaulting steward must shadow at a minimum of one Equine Canada recognized bronze-silver-gold vaulting competition under the supervision of a certified VaultCanada vaulting steward.

FEI Competitor's Checklist

When you want to enter an event like a CVI or world championships, the requirements are quite different than what you would expect at regular Canadian vaulting competitions. You will be entering on behalf of your country so this involves both Equine Canada and the International Equestrian Federation.

 

Vaulter Development Program

This national program was approved on 2012-03-19 by the VaultCanada Sport Committee. Levels 1 through 5 are administered and managed provincially, while levels 6 through 8 are administered and managed nationally.

 

Clubs in Other Provinces

Although our vision includes having a Provincial Vaulting Organization in every province and territory in Canada, this is not yet the case. If you are interested in vaulting and you live in a province that does not yet have such an organization, we would love to hear from you. Please email us at [email protected] and let us know of your interest, to what extent you think you might be able to be involved, and/or if you know of anyone who could help by being involved in your area. FEI Registration is now Online

Great news!

Equine Canada has simplified the process for renewing your FEI Registration, for those vaulters who are competing at CVIs. Instead of printing out and faxing/scanning a PDF to send to the EC office, you can now just grab your Sport License Number and password (same as your Sport License renewal) and head over to this link:

EC Authorization to Compete

All vaulters who are competing outside of Canada, at either an FEI event or a National event in that country, must fill use the online registration system in this website to register for foreign entries. If you have any question, please contact our Foreign Entries Secretary .

 

Selection Criteria

The VaultCanada Sport Committee has established this selection process in order to determine representatives for Canada at the World Vaulting Championships and/or the World Equestrian Games. Specifically, the selection process set out below will ensure a fair method of selecting the National Team using objective criteria.

The FEI has announced the 2018 WEG qualifying criteria for the period of January 1, 2017 to the yet to be determined cut off date in 2018.

Provincial Vaulting Trainer Certification

The Provincial Vaulting Trainer Program has been established since 1995 and is recognized by Horse Council BC, the Alberta Equestrian Federation, and the Saskatchewan Horse Federation.

 

 

Membership for EVABC

EVABC Memberships are part of the Horse Council BC Membership system. You can purchase your 2014 EVABC Membership at the same time as your HCBC membership or at a later date.

2014 EVABC AGM on April 13th

The EVABC will have our Annual General Meeting on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 8 pm. You will be able to join this meeting by conference call, so we hope there is a good representation from all BC clubs.

2015 World Junior Championships Update

The FEI World Junior Vaulting Championships are scheduled for August 5-9, 2015 in Ermelo Netherlands. A vaulter wishing to qualify needs to achieve a 6.5 in a CVI 2* junior or senior class and must be between the ages of 14 and 18 (2001-1997 ).

 

About the AEVA

The Alberta Equestrian Vaulting Association was created as a non-profit society in 2004 with three founding member clubs; twelve years of growth later, there are seven vaulting clubs in Alberta, all of which are active and competitive.

 

Judging Contract

The judging contract is for use by competition organizers and judges to standardize fees and process within the country. The latest version can always be found here on this page.
